A Case Of Moral Bankruptcy

MSNBC.com's Money Central lists Clear Channel among corporations likely to file for bankruptcy.

There's a lesson to be learned here, though I doubt many of the corporate brass at Clear Channel will learn it:

The way you run your business when times are good will have a direct impact on your business when times are bad.

"The seeds of Clear Channel's demise were sown years ago. Only the uninformed will blame the current state of the economy."

Or, to put it another way:

How you run your business when times are good is directly proportional to how your business will run you when times are bad.

The seeds of Clear Channel's demise were sown years ago. Only the uninformed will blame the current state of the economy.

Think About It:

  • A New Seminar For The Conclave:   Maybe, at the next Conclave, there should be a seminar called 'Radio 101' because I really think we have forgotten what it's all about. Hell - maybe it's time for an entire Conclave dedicated to Radio 101.

  • A Raindrop And The Flood:   Radicalism comes in many forms. The idea of "my country right or wrong" is both radical and dangerous. I dare say it is more traitorous than patriotic because it does the country more harm than good. Bad ideas are like a cancer, and a body that gives in to cancer dies.

  • It's Not 'Who You Know':   The dreaded "box" of demos is your enemy. The phone is your friend.
